François Patrick Sabater - Chairman

TechnicoFlor Group

TechnicoFlor Group has worked hard over the years to become a recognized player on the world stage, while remaining a company with a human face. We enjoy a strong and personal relationship with all our customers.

In 1982, François-Patrick SABATER set up the first company of what was to become the TechnicoFlor Group. It grew fast in the field of the creation and manufacture of aromatic compounds for the fragrance industry. Further subsidiaries were set up to reinforce the group’s capacity and diversity into food flavorings, plant extracts and aromatic ingredients.

As the group grew internationally, it set up new subsidiaries, first on the US market, followed by China, our highest growth market at the present time, while not omitting the necessary investment in other high growth global markets like Indonesia.

TechnicoFlor in France

TechnicoFlor’s heaquarters are located in the south of France in Allauch, close to Marseille and Grasse, crossroad of the international fragrance industry. Another business and development center is based in Levallois-Perret, close to Paris.
In Marseille we have welcomed our new Research & Development center dedicated to perfumery and the factory is planned to be extended very soon.

-

Marseille: Covering a two acre site, TechnicoFlor’s headquarters are a concentration of creation and production resources.
A highly trained and experimented staff works in our laboratories on new compositions and attends the highly automated mixing room.

-

Paris: The Group’s marketing and sales teams, working hand in hand with a laboratory staffed by perfume experts, are based in Paris at the Levallois office.

International Development

TechnicoFlor has always put emphasis on the development of international markets with a marketing force and a production capacity in some of them and a network of agents and distributors in others. These joint capacities have enabled us to experience an accelerated growth of our production volumes.

-

The worldwide production capacities of TechnicoFlor reach 2,750 tons per year spread on 4 sites in the world:

Marseille (France)
Shanghai / Suzhou (China)
Miami (USA)
Jakarta (Indonesia)

The Group also has sales offices in Dubai and Singapore.

Natflor®, NatFair® & Eco-label

keeping up with the times, handing down the planet safely to future generations

Since time immemorial, natural products have enhanced our well-being. Today, TechnicoFlor expresses its environmental values through its choice of raw materials, redirecting its ressources towards natural values.

-

Our perfume experts have thus developed three families of fragrances:

The Natflor line®
100% natural fragrance compounds for Fine Perfumery, Cosmetics and Toiletries. A line of 100% natural, subtle and intense fragrances that will ideally blend with your future projects. Natflor is a range of products complying Ecocert and Cosmos standards. They are made up of 100% pure and natural certified essential oils, of natural substrates and solvents.

The NatFair line®
100% Natural fragrance compounds with fairly sourced and traded natural materials (minimum of 5%).
The whole TechnicoFlor Group has gathered its talents with enthusiasm, to succeed today in offering a natural product that conveys human values.
A global policy of fair trade sourcing.
Taking into consideration the high quality of fair trade raw materials, these replace perfectly conventional ones to integrate our fragrances.
A true soul given in our Natfair creations.

The Eco-Label line
Eco-Label compliance means using compounds developed from processes which limit the most hazardous substances to health and the environment, and which strictly prohibit the use of allergenic or similar compounds.
Our Eco-Label fragrances are original, attractive and sophisticated. They are used - among other - in detergents, cleaning products, shower gels, cosmetics and soaps, all developed by a concern for environmental protection.

Fragrances

Creating fragrances, is undoubtedly an art

The created artwork affects our lives as few others do: the evocative power of a perfume, its ability to touch and move us, is unrivalled.
Today, before producing unforgettable fragrances, the perfumer has to master the rigorous skills that have been developed and handed down from generation to generation, and which are the outcome of a long and technologically sophisticated tradition.

In response to the increasing global demand for "natural" products, so strongly felt in the fragrance field, TechnicoFlor has adopted a responsible and committed approach to environmental protection. A range of natural products has been specially developed as part of our portfollio.

Marie-Caroline Symard

Perfumer

Graduated of ISIPCA in 1997 (Firmenich Promotion), Marie-Caroline Symard worked at her beginning with Christine Lucas at Colgate-Palmolive, then with Fréderic Ricord in Argeville. In 2007 she joined Technicoflor in Marseille.Globe-trotter, passionate about music and cinema, she is always on the lookout for novelties, with a penchant for French artists. Always cheerful and in a good mood, she thrives by working in team.Ambermax is the raw material that she likes the most, an amber woody note that she loves to use in all type of applications. But she also greatly appreciates the essence of Rose for its warmth and brilliance, reminding her the musical instruments of the brass family.

Irène Farmachidi

Perfumer

Daughter of a gourmet music lover physicist and an excellent cook painter artist, Irene discovered very soon tastes and odors. She oriented herself toward the perfumer profession that met the expectations of her creative spirit and her rigor. Graduate of ISIPCA, she performed her training with renowned perfumers and joined TechnicoFlor team in Paris in 2012. Fascinated by the natural, beautiful materials attracts her and she loves sublimating it. For her creations, she draws her inspiration from her daily life, curious about everything and loving contrasts and challenges.

Christine Lucas

Perfumer

Graduate of ISIPCA in 1990 (Nina Ricci Promotion), Christine Lucas joined the Perfumers team of Colgate-Palmolive where she developed fragrances of technical products and personal care for international brands. She joined the TechnicoFlor team in Marseille in 1998.The floral green notes very close to nature inspire her in the everyday life. Rose is also a flower she especially likes working and sublimating. Curious of everything, she loves traveling and discovering new places that feed her inspiration. When she is at home, she likes cooking and creating improvised recipes.

Bertrand Duchaufour

Maître Parfumeur

Bertrand Duchaufour began his career in 1985 at Lautier Florasynth in Grasse. During 10 years, he worked at Créations Aromatiques and Symrise on Fine Fragrance, participating to the creation of successful fragrances. In 2008 he became independent perfumer and naturally oriented himself towards the Niche Fragrance market. After 3 years working as perfumer consultant, Bertrand Duchaufour joined in 2014 the TechnicoFlor teams in Paris, to ally to his original creations his ethical and environmental commitment. Artist at heart, the creation process has always been part of himself, taking his inspiration from all his travels. He is particularly passionate by primitive arts. His creations reflect nonconformism and sublimate high quality raw materials. He particularly likes using Davana, Orris, Leather Accords, Oudh, Mimosa, Osmanthus that are both powerful and streamlined.

Morgane Collinot

Perfumer

Graduated of ISIPCA in 2009, Morgan Collinot studied in prestigious Fragrance Houses, like Symrise. She joined the Technicoflor team in 2010 and completed her training with Bertrand Duchaufour.Gourmande and discrete by nature, she is totally open to new discoveries. Fascinated by Japanese culture, she is interested in all its aspects: language, calligraphy, martial arts, cooking . In real key to everything, Morgane is comfortable on ambiance fragrances, cosmetics care and fine fragrances. This young Perfumer likes working with all the raw materials, but she is particularly attracted by woody, Iris and green notes.

Pierre Flores

Perfumer

Graduated of ISIPCA in 2005 (Symrise Promotion) Pierre Flores began his career in Spain, especially in Sensient and Iberchem, as Perfumer specialized in Fine Fragrance and on the Middle East market. He joined the TechnicoFlor team in Marseille in April 2013. This young Perfumer has developed a curiosity of scents and a passion for perfumes at a young age. His inspiration may come from a flower, a song or certain big perfumers that he admires such as Jean-Claude Ellena for his simplicity of writing. Passionate about cooking, especially bakery, Pierre enjoys using  perfumery materials in edible creations. He loves above all working with opulent floral such as Tuberose and Jasmine Sambac, oriental notes such as Vanilla and Tonka Bean and woody notes such as Vetiver.

Linda Liu

Perfumer

Linda Liu graduated in 1999 the School of Perfumery in China: the Shanghai Institute of Technology. First, she incorporated Chinese houses, then she perfected her training in some French houses, like Mane for one year. She joined the TechnicoFlor teams in Shanghai in 2013. Linda is a big fan of nature, she also draws her inspiration during walks in the woods. Her desire to be perfumer was born with the desire to transmit her work to others. She especially love working white flowers, green and marine notes.

Constant Michaux

Perfumer

Chemical Engineer, Constant Michaux did all its training courses in perfumery, especially in Roure Bertrand Fils & Justin Smith. Trained by Jean Carles, he began his Perfumer career in 1968. He then worked for 10 years at Charabot before joining in 1986 the TechnicoFlor team in Grasse. The perfume is for him a family story, his parents owning a small company of perfume in Africa. Living in Grasse, Constant Michaux always wanted to stay close to nature, his main source of inspiration. Constant enjoys working with all the raw materials but if he had to choose one, it would be for those that remind him his childhood memories: pink floral notes, Lily of the Valley, Lilac... or memories that come to him from Africa: fruity notes such as Mango or Papaya.
